I am both amused and a little apprehensive at the turn for home-related posts here of late. Still, if art is life, I think life is an art as well.
I spent a good part of the day on Saturday constructing another raised bed, this time for popcorn, having seen your dad’s plants when I visited the Lueders Farm last summer. 17 plants in almost pure compost. Had a bit of a scare this evening when a thunderstorm brought a brief hailstorm, but I think they’re okay.

That is a good comment about the home related posts. To me, I feel like I am getting my studio ready. This studio happens to be my home as well. I think that I will always try to live where I work. I like to keep what I am working on as a constant around me.
What is the angle for on the raised box? Popcorn is awesome!

The clipped corner is 45 degrees. I didn’t measure it, just built the thing on my big work table and used its sides as reference. I then drew a 45 degree angle on the table with a straigtedge and speed square.
The raised bed is 7 feet long and 4 feet wide. It’s about a foot tall, made of two cedar 2×6s on edge.
Maybe I will add a “home” or “art of life” category to the blog.
