After the success of my last burning art experience, I had an idea. I laid down some of the rusty metal bits laying around my work area, and put them on a scrap piece of cedar. After assembling a rough 5×5 on the wood, I took a torch to it. Here is the result:

Looks interesting! I like the experimentation with the abstract. Were you missing a circle or did it just burn the wood behind it?

Yes, I had meant to post this last week but didn’t get to it. Are you going to post those new flowers?

There was a washer on the board in the totally filled in area, but it was warped and wasn’t sitting totally flat on the surface of the board.

Very cool. My favorites are the one in the top-right, as well as the third one from the top in the second row from the left. ;)

Bob, I appreciate your visit, but I would ask that you keep your comments in a more constructive vein if you would like to continue contribute to this site. Art is a very subjective thing, and opinions vary widely. The process itself is one that requires a lot of experimentation, and of course there are some wrong turns along the way. This site is meant to share that process with the world.
Is Malaysia known for its fires? ;)
