Day at the Beach

I did a watercolor painting at a beach in Eldora this weekend. It was hot but working next to the water was nice. There was an island in the middle of the lake.

    Looks like another nice day! I really have to send you this brush I bought you a few months ago. Perfect for mobile painting of the watercolor variety.

    I like the cloud/sky work. The blue seems surprising to me. I’m sure I must have seen blue skies in your work before, but it seems new somehow.

    I was thinking the same thing about the sky.

    I have only done a few watercolor landscapes, most of the others were done with colored charcoal, however, the colors are limited with those and the blue almost seems like a deep purple.

    Is it tough to keep your paint usable in such a heat?

    I was using watercolors, so when they start to dry out all you have to use is more water.
