It is coming up in November. I was looking at some old archives and it was interesting just to read our thoughts and ideas from last year. It really is like a sketchbook or journal. I think it has helped inspire me and it is fun to be apart of. Thanks, Dave!
Maybe we could do something to commemorate the past year?

Perhaps we could each pick out ten posts that we thought were interesting and effective and make a “Best of” category.
Might be easier for new visitors to see some of our favorite things. We might even be able to use it to get some feed back from other people about what things they like.

I think those are all excellent ideas … you are really a blog pro now. This site has really turned out much, much better than I though it ever could.
I think we could make a “best of” category for starters. Why don’t we each review the other’s entries and start adding posts to it. Let’s do 5 posts each to start. So I’ll pick 5 of yours as “best of” and you do the same for me. What do you think?

Looks like the first post was November 8, 2005. So I guess that will be the 1 year anniversary.
I think we should also make an “About” page that tells where the “Descending Ashtray” name came from, and maybe work on completing our bio pages (and adding some photos). It would be cool to locate some of your early work if you still have it (childhood or high school drawings) and/or photos of yourself to illustrate the bio.
We could also try to get that online show together that we discussed a few months ago …
Let’s talk via phone soon to work out what we want to do and when …

How do I add your posts to the “best of” category?

For me there’s a little “Edit” button just to the right of the “Posted Under: Gabe, Conceptual Art” text. Then you can just add a new category.

The “Edit” button shows up on my posts but does not for yours. I even tried going through the site admin. page and it said I was not authorized to edit your posts.
Maybe I should go through and pick my favorites and then tell you which ones they are?

That sounds like a plan.
