I was thinking of Greek or Roman ruins. I am going to make a base for the sculpture. It is surprisingly strong, but I think probably still delicate as there are a number of end grain to end grain joints. I think I will lean a few extra pieces against the structure on top of the base, and maybe some partially "submerged" ones around it as well. Yeah, the remains.
