Is there plenty of overhead lighting? That was the biggest improvement I made when I moved to my current shop. I put in 8 4 ft. flourescent fixtures, and now there’s hardly a shadow when I work, which is a huge, huge improvement. Looks like the walls are white, which should also help (I’m jealous).
