Have you seen these Tru-Grip Clamps? They’re basically a straightedge with a clamp built in. You can clamp them to a piece of plywood on the bottom, then use the aluminum bar as a guide for either a circular saw or a router. I bought one about a year ago, before I got my new table saw when I was trying to crosscut full sheets of plywood, and it works well. I got the 50″ long one, but I think they make bigger and smaller (probably more useful than bigger) ones. I don’t use it much now for the crosscutting, but it is still valuable as a long clamp, and it would be handy for long dados with the router.

I clamped down a board as a make shift fence when I was cross cutting a large sheet of plywood. It worked great!
