As Seen on TV! The Dual Drill!

Dual Drill

Just saw an informercial for this crazy cordless drill on TV. I read a few web sites that said it was pretty much junk (max 500 rpm), but it’s kind of a cool idea. Basically, the black part spins so you can switch chucks. You can have a drill bit in one of the two chucks, and a screwdriver head in the other, which supposedly makes work go faster since you’re not constantly searching for the other bit. I have a quick-change bit holder from DeWalt that serves pretty much the same purpose and works well for my needs.

yea that’s pointless since i pay attension to where my bits are and i can change bits with a quick-change equally as fast and of course have more rpm. it looks like a black & decker only cheaper and less durable. isn’t DeWalt black &decker’s commercial line? the new panisonic cordless drills seem pretty good, lightweight, and durable, but then again it seems light everything is turning out to be garbage consumables lately. kind of interesting none-the-less since crazy tools are kind of a pastime of mine. i’m trying to invent a magnetic staple puller for upholstery tear down purposes right now. (patent-pending)
