Are you coming back to Des Moines in May? I have never put a lock in something that I have made but it sounds like a good idea.

I think cherry is my favorite wood. It's so warm looking, and it ages nicely. Are you going to oil them? It does burn quickly, though.

I am going to make my sister a blanket chest for her wedding in May. Was just thinking I need to get started on that pretty quick. I think I am going to try and dovetail (with a jig, of course) the four corners of the chest in kind of a Shaker style, very simple. Have you ever put a lock in? Seems like that'd be a nice detail.

Beer sounds good.

The wood is cherry. My friend got the job and we are working on it together, he knows somebody down there. There are nine different beers at two tapper stations. Next time you come into town we will have to go there and try each one! It could be a work related, research and development visit. We would have to test them out just so we know that they are working properly.

Those are pretty wicked, man! You hit a couple good notes with me on that one - beer and wood. What kind of wood? Are they paying you in beer? How'd you get hooked up with them? Do they have 18 kinds of beer?
